To reduce the hydrodynamic noise of underwater vehicles at high speeds and to enhance their performance, composite materials are used in the submarine's enclosure-upper structure.Numerical computation methods are applied to study the characteristics of the external flow field around the enclosure-upper structure and the patterns of internal flow-induced noise variation.A comparative analysis is conducted to assess the flow-induced noise variation of the enclosure-upper structure made of all-metal materials versus composite materials,as well as the variation of flow-induced vibration and noise in composite enclosure-upper structures under different working conditions. The study reveals that the distribution of internal flow-induced noise within the enclosure-upper structure is primarily related to the distance from the field point to the structural surface. The overall flow-induced noise of all-metal enclosure-upper structures is found to be greater than that of structures made of composite materials.Furthermore, the flow-induced noise of the enclosure-upper structure increases with an increase in velocity. This research provides a reference for the application of composite materials in the field of submarine noise reduction.
