摘　　要：汤重南是中国日本史研究的重要学者,是中国特色日本史研究的先行者、参与者和贡献者。其学术轨迹是改革开放后中国日本史研究发展的缩影,大致以2000年为界,分为前后两个时期。其学术研究具有强烈的主体意识、对科学性的执着追求,以及与时俱进的显著特征。汤重南对中国日本史研究的贡献主要有三方面:一是为中国日本史研究定向把舵;二是为中国日本史学科建设和发展弹精竭虑,呕心沥血;三是聚众人之智、成非常之功。Tang Chongnan was a prominent scholar in the study of Japanese history in China.He was a pioneer,an active participant,and the key contributor in the study of Japanese history with Chinese characteristics.The trajectory of his academic career was a reflection of the development of the field after China's reform and opening-up,which can be roughly divided into two periods with the year 2000 as the boundary.His research was characterized by a strong sense of subjectivity,a persistent pursuit of academic scientificism,and a spirit of keeping pace with the times.His main contributions to the study of Japanese history in China included the following three aspects:shaping the direction of Japanese history research,dedicating his efforts to the construction and development of the discipline,and gathering the wisdom from other people to achieve greater scholarly success.
