康拉德小说中的政治经济学批判

摘　　要：康拉德的很多作品都弥漫着政治经济元素,形成了比较明晰的政治经济学谱系。在康拉德看来,政治势力是作品人物挥之不去的梦魇,相伴而生的则是各种各样的经济因素影响,对经济利益的追逐往往使人堕入人性恶的渊薮。这些现象在《黑暗的心》《吉姆老爷》《诺斯托洛莫》《“水仙号”上的黑水手》及《间谍》等作品中表现得尤为突出。通过对这些作品故事情节和人物命运的分析,不难发现其中蕴含的文明与野蛮、种族与性别以及经济利益与人物命运之间的博弈与妥协。本文试以马克思政治经济学原理来解析小说中的利益关系和人际交往现象。Many of Conrad's works are imbued with elements of political economy,creating a relatively clear genealogy of this theme.In Conrad's view,politics is a persistent nightmare for his characters,invariably intertwined with various considerations of economic interests.The pursuit of economic gain drives the characters to the depths of human evil.This is particularly evident in Heart of Darkness,Lord Jim,Nostromo,The Nigger of the “Narcissus,” and The Secret Agent.By analyzing the plots and the fates of the main characters,the conflicts and compromises between civilization and barbarism,race and gender,as well as economic interests and the characters' destinies are revealed.This article aims to reveal the interplay between economic interests and human relations by employing Marx's political and economic theory.
