Objective To explore the effect of low phosphorus diet nursing in maintenance hemodialysis patients, and explore the effect of diet nursing on phosphorus metabolism in patients. Methods Among the maintenance hemodialysis patients received by our hospital(admitted from January 2022 to February 2024),88 patients meeting the inclusion criteria were selected and divided into two groups by random number table:reference and study groups, with 44 patients in each group. The reference group implemented routine care, and the study group implemented low-phosphorus diet care based on the usual care. The nutritional risk score, blood phosphorus, blood calcium, calcium and phosphorus product levels and quality of life scores were compared between the two groups. Results After nursing, the prognosis nutritional index of the study group was higher than the reference group(P<0.05).After nursing, the blood phosphorus and calcium phosphorus product level was lower than the reference group, and the blood calcium level was higher than the reference group(P<0.05).After nursing, the quality of life score of the study group was higher than the reference group(P<0.05).Conclusions Low-phosphorus diet care can effectively improve the nutritional status and phosphorus metabolism of patients, and promote the quality of life.
