Objective To explore the correlation of group B Streptococcus(GBS)infection in pregnant women with Ureplasma parvum(UP)and Chlamydia trachomatis(CT)and their clinical significance. Methods A total of 3302 perinatal pregnant women who received medical treatment at the Yubei People's Hospital from January 2020 to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects.PCR fluorescence probe method was used to detect nucleic acids in GBS,UP and CT.The infection of UP and CT between GBS positive and negative groups were compared. Results Positive GBS was detected in 323 of 3302 pregnant women, and the GBS infection rate was 9.78%.UP(+)113(34.98%)and 1354(45.45%)were detected in the negative group and the positive group, the UP positive rate of negative group was higher than that of positive group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),but there was no correlation between GBS and UP infection(r=-0.039,P>0.05).CT(+)9 and 149 cases were detected in GBS positive and negative groups, respectively. There was no significant difference in CT positive rate between the two groups(P>0.05).GBS was not associated with UP infection(r=-0.002,P>0.05).Conclusion There is no association between GBS and UP infection or CT infection in perinatal pregnant women.Clinicians should pay attention to the infection of UP in GBS negative pregnant women to prevent adverse pregnancy outcomes.
