Objective To investigate the value of background suppression diffusion-weighted imaging(DWIBS)and arterial spin labeling(based on flow sensitive alternation inversion recovery labeling technology,FAIR)in preoperative evaluation of rectal cancer. Methods 28 patients with rectal cancer confirmed by colonoscopy were examined by pelvic magnetic resonance DWIBS and FAIR.The DWIBS signal intensity,ADC value and BF between rectal cancer and normal rectal wall were compared and analyzed. Results By statistical analysis, there were differences in DWIBS signal intensity,ADC value and BF between rectal cancer and normal rectal wall on DWIBS image and FAIR(t=10.62,P<0.05;t=-8.81,P<0.05;t=18.77,P<0.05).Conclusion The ADC value of rectal cancer tumor is lower than that of normal rectal wall, and the signal intensity and BF are higher than that of normal rectal wall.MRI DWIBS and arterial spin labeling can evaluate the degree of tumor invasion and blood perfusion, which has important clinical value in preoperative evaluation of rectal cancer.
