隐喻态度资源视角下的中国形象自塑研究——基于语料库《国务院政府工作报告》英译本(2017—2022)

摘  要:隐喻具有短小精悍、生动形象的特征,是人们对自然世界及生活环境的一种认知和理解方式,具有反映和创建现实、隐性传递言说者态度之用,能促使受众对某些事或物产生特定之印象。基于概念隐喻理论和评价理论,以隐喻态度资源为切入点,结合定量定性方法,探讨《国务院政府工作报告》英译本(2017—2022)中所塑造的中国国家形象,可以发现相关语料中各类隐喻通过具体且共享的意象,传递言说者态度,促使受众产生心理认同,从而塑造了中国作为行动者、贡献者、亲近者的立体、真实和多维度形象。Metaphors characterized by conciseness,forcefulness and vividness are widely used to understand and perceive the natural world and living environment,and have the function of reflecting and establishing reality,implicitly conveying speakers’attitude,thus promoting listeners to have a specific impression of things under discussion.Based on Conceptual Metaphor Theory and Appraisal Theory,attitude resources in metaphors in the English versions of Report on the Work of the Government(2017—2022)were analyzed to examine China’s national image construction by using quantitative and qualitative methods.Results show that different types of metaphors convey the speaker’s attitude and promote listeners’psychological identification through specific and shared images,thereby constructing a real and China’s multi-dimensional image of an activist,contributor and approachable friend.
