摘  要:小泉八云(1850—1904年)原名帕特里克·拉夫卡迪奥·赫恩(Patrick Lafcadio Hearn),是日本明治时期一位重要作家,被誉为“西方的代言人”和“东方的诠释者”。他具有跨文化的背景,一生经历了多重身份的转变,年少时于欧洲接受专业的西方教育,成年后前往美国从事新闻记者、编辑等工作,后成为第一位归化日本的西洋人。他所创作的再话文学作品《怪谈》因取材于《古今著聞集》《夜窗鬼談》《新撰百物语》等多部日本传统文学经典,被誉为日本灵异文学鼻祖。该文以《怪谈》为研究对象,结合小泉八云的个人经历,从女性人物形象的塑造、中华文化元素的汲取、东方美学意境的呈现三方面探索作品中的多文化思想。Yakumo koizumi(1850-1904),originally named Patrick Lafcadio Hearn,was an important writer during Japan's Meiji period and is regarded as the"spokesperson of the West"and the"interpreter of the East".His life was marked by a cross-cultural background and the transformation of multiple identities.As a youth,he received formal religious education in Europe,and as an adult,he moved to the United States,where he worked as a journalist and editor.Later,he became the first Westerner to be naturalized in Japan.His literary work Kwaidan,which draws inspiration from various Japanese classical literary works such as"Kokon chomon ju","Yasokidan",and"Shinsenhyakumonogatari",is considered a pioneering work in Japan's supernatural literature.This article takes Kwaidan as its subject of study and,in conjunction with Lafcadio Hearn's personal experiences,explores the multicultural thoughts within the work from three perspectives:the portrayal of female characters,the incorporation of elements of Chinese culture,and the presentation of Eastern aesthetic realms.
