摘　　要：专业年鉴英文目录是中文目录之外用英语呈现的资料名目。调查结果显示,当前我国专业年鉴英文目录的发展基本处于自发阶段,总体上数量不够多,编制质量不够高,与我国年鉴事业发展现状不相匹配。专业年鉴英文目录存在位置不固定,信息层级、编排方式通行模式欠缺,常识性翻译错误等质量问题。出现问题的原因涉及对英文目录的重要性认识不足、欠缺理论指导、规范引领作用发挥欠佳、组织保障水平低等。提升专业年鉴英文目录质量,要积极务实扩大英文目录编制比例,注重英文目录设计,固定英文目录位置于卷首,将编制分目和编制条目都作为英文目录编制的主要模式,确立分编英文目录在目录编排方式上的优先级,推动英文目录常用术语翻译的规范和统一,抓好英文目录编制人才培养等。The English catalog in professional yearbooks,which complements the Chinese version,offers a compilation of entries in English.The survey results show that the current development of English catalogs of professional yearbooks in China is basically in the spontaneous stage,with an overall insufficient quantity and subpar compilation quality,which does not match with the current development status of China's yearbook industry.In the compilation process,the English catalog faces quality issues including inconsistent placement,a lack of common patterns in information hierarchy and arrangement methods,and common-sense translation errors.These issues arise from underestimating the importance of English catalogs,lacking theoretical guidance,poor normative leadership,and low level of organizational support.The following measures could be taken to enhance the quality of English catalogs in professional yearbooks:actively and pragmatically increase the proportion of English catalog compilation,focus on the design of the English catalog,consistently place the English catalog at the beginning of each volume,adopt sub-entry and item-level compilation as the primary models for producing English catalogs,prioritize sub-entry compilation in catalog arrangement,promote the standardization and unification of common term translations,and focus on training talents for English catalog compilation.
