Permanent ground deformation caused by earthquake faults leads to buckling or overall instability of buried pipelines, which threatens the safety of oil and gas pipelines.Aiming at the accurate prediction of the buckling response of buried pipelines across faults,a simulation analysis and prediction method of the buckling response of buried pipelines across faults was proposed by taking the strain of the pipeline before the rapid growth of the axial compressive strain under the action of the fault as the criterion for judging the local buckling of the pipeline.Through the axial compensation of the pipeline end by the equivalent boundary springs,a nonlinear finite element model of the buried pipeline under the action of the reverse fault was established, and the strain response of the pipeline under different sensitive parameters was investigated, and the correction formula of the pipeline buckling prediction was obtained based on the nonlinear regression, and the accuracy of the method was verified by combining with experimental comparisons, which provided a reference for the failure analysis and safety design of the pipeline crossing the reverse fault.
