Uncontrolled cell cycle progression is a significant sign of abnormal tumor proliferation.Cell cycle-related gene changes can cause cell-cycle disorder, resulting in uncontrolled cell division,an essential reason for promoting tumor cell growth.Breaking the endogenous homeostasis of tumor cell cycle-related factors may lead to abnormal cell proliferation and tumor formation. The meiosis factor may be an essential target for tumor therapy and biomonitoring.Few studies have been conducted on meiotic nuclear divisions 1(MND1),but more and more reports have been reported on the critical role of MND1 in tumor development. The abnormal expression of MND1 in various tumors is closely related to the occurrence and development of tumors. In this paper, the biological function of MND1 in tumors and the relationship between MND1 and tumor development are reviewed, which is helpful to analyze further the mechanism of action of this gene in tumors.
