Objective This study was to investigate the effect of the position of laptop computer on the stress of thoracic vertebra and lumbar vertebra and head flexion. Methods Digital human simulation office models(P 1,P 5,P 50,P 95,and P 99)were created using Jack. The torque of spinetT1/T2,spineL4/L5 of human body and the angle of head flexion are analyzed under different vertical and horizontal distances of the screen.Correlation analysis was performed with SPSS.Results The study revealed that individuals with greater height experienced higher torque on their thoracic and lumbar vertebrae when using a laptop in a seated position.Furthermore, the impact of laptop screen height on these torques and head flexion degree was significantly more pronounced than that of horizontal distance. Conclusion Adjusting the position of a laptop computer, particularly the screen height, can effectively alleviate fatigue and pain symptoms in the neck and waist for individuals of different heights while reducing potential harm to their bodies.
