摘　　要：唐陵的设计遵循“陵墓若都邑”的丧葬观念,其设计明显模拟了唐都长安。在这一理念下,唐陵石刻同样有重要的象征意义,前期帝陵石刻的变化与唐文化的渊源、唐王朝对边疆经略变化有着密切联系,它们对于认识唐王朝的边疆经略重心从南向西及其西北转变有重要价值。The concept of“Mausoleums as Capitals”runs through the imperial mausoleum system in ancient China.The design of Tang Mausoleums is just a moment in its long history,which clearly simulates the capital city of Chang’an during the Tang Dynasty.Imperial mausoleums not only highly embody the funeral concept of“Mausoleums as Capitals”,but also reflect political and cultural factors.Based on this concept,the design of Tang Mausoleums simulates the capital city of Chang’an,and the imperial mausoleums become the capital city of another world.The stone inscriptions,featuring the most prominent remains on the ground of Tang Mausoleums,are not only an important component of the imperial mausoleum system but also closely related to national strategies.The research on stone pillars,winged beasts,rhinoceroses,ostriches,stone tigers,and lions of Tang Mausoleums has largely focused on their individual attributes in the past,without organically linking the changes in the stone inscriptions of imperial mausoleums to national strategies for investigation.The changes in the stone inscriptions of the imperial mausoleums are not isolated phenomena,but closely related to the origins of Tang culture and the changes in Tang borderland strategies.The transformation of the stone pillars in Tang Mausoleums from the style of the Southern Dynasties to the style of the Dharani Sutra Pillar represents a Buddhist factor attached to the traditional basis,thus providing vivid evidence for the origin of Sui and Tang cultures.If the style of the stone pillars from Emperor Gaozu’s Xianling Mausoleum of the Tang Dynasty was influenced by that of the Southern Dynasty,the new form of using Mani pearls as the capital of the stone pillars starting from the Gongling Mausoleum was mainly influenced by that of the Northern Qi Dynasty;The most attractive animal images in the stone inscriptions of Tang Mausoleums are rhinoceroses and ostriches.The transformation from rhinoceroses to ostriches is not because the people in the Tang Dynasty valued t
