摘　　要：南仁东,著名天文学家,“中国天眼”建造工程的主要发起者和奠基人。他潜心天文研究,坚持自主创新,主导提出利用我国贵州省喀斯特洼地作为望远镜台址,从选址、论证、立项到建设历时22年,主持攻克了一系列技术难题,在“中国天眼”重大科学工程建设中发挥了关键作用,实现了中国拥有世界一流水平望远镜的梦想。他的爱国情怀、科学精神和勇于担当的品质,激励着我们不懈奋斗。Nan Rendong was born in Liaoyuan City,Jilin Province in 1945.At the age of 18,he entered Tsinghua University with the excellent result.In 1978,he studied astrophysics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences,and obtained master’s and doctor’s degrees successively.In 1985,Nan Rendong aged 40 began to travel around the world with his love for the stars in the universe,and got a position as a visiting professor at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan.However,he was always concerned about astronomy research in his motherland,and finally gave up his high salary and returned to China.
