宝熙致劳乃宣长函关涉史事本末考——兼谈日记与书信的互补

摘　　要：中国社会科学院近代史研究所档案馆“劳乃宣档”里所收宝熙致劳乃宣的一封长函,涉及逊清皇室成员与袁世凯的复杂关系,反映出宝熙作为遗老的复杂心境。解读此封书信,需要调用多种史料,其中宝熙手稿日记作用最为明显。日记与书信相互补充,可以使史实得以更多元的呈现,同时表明任何史料都有其相对性,只有掌握不同史料的特点,将包括日记、书信在内的各种史料综合起来运用,才能对相关史实有更全面的了解。A long letter from Baoxi to Lao Naixuan in the“Lao Naixuan File”of the archives of the Institute of Modern History(CASS)in Chinese Academy of Social Sciences involves the complex relationship between abdicated Qing Royal members and Yuan Shikai,reflecting Baoxi’s complicated state of mind as a surviving adherents.To interpret this letter,it is necessary to call on a variety of historical materials,among which the diary of Baoxi’s manuscript is the most obvious.Diaries and letters complement each other,which can make historical facts more diverse.At the same time,it shows that any historical material has its relativity.Only by mastering the characteristics of different historical materials and integrating and applying various historical materials,including diaries and letters,can we have a more comprehensive understanding of relevant historical facts.
