In order to investigate the diffusion and migration patterns of radioactive nuclides in enclosed spaces,a Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)model of the compartments of a marine reactor was developed using OpenFOAM.The simulation was conducted utilizing the Buoyant Simple foam solver and the Scalar transport foam solver for custom simulations.Experimental results indicate that at 19 seconds, radioactive nuclides started diffusing into the crew compartment, and at 82 seconds, diffusion into the control room commenced. However,at this point, the diffusion and migration of radioactive nuclides primarily occurred under the influence of thermal convection.Subsequently, the radioactive nuclides gradually settled and filled the compartments due to gravitational effects. The research findings suggest that radioactive nuclides in enclosed spaces primarily diffuse towards areas of human occupancy under the influence of thermal convection. The farther away from the reactor compartment, the slower the diffusion rate.Subsequently, setting occurs under the influence of gravity, filling the entire compartment.
