摘　　要：霍亚德塞伦考古遗址位于萨尔瓦多首都圣萨尔瓦多西北40千米处。公元600年,距霍亚德塞伦仅1千米的洛马卡尔德拉火山突然爆发,整座村庄被厚达7米的火山灰覆盖,并因此保留了下来。Joya de Cerén was a pre-Columbian Maya farming village that,like Pompeii and Herculaneum in Italy,was buried under an eruption of the Loma Caldera volcano around AD 600.Because of the exceptional condition of the remains,they provide an insight into the daily lives of the Central American populations who worked the land at that time.
