摘　　要：集体记忆是一个群体的意义、价值与经验的集合,更是集体认同的基础。博物馆作为典型的记忆场所,具有储存并展现历史记忆、唤醒记忆、构建集体记忆,最终增强集体认同感的使命。美国华人博物馆在1980年成立,通过团结华人群体并保存其历史的建馆动因与宗旨、仔细挑选并阐释有华人生活痕迹或与华人重大历史事件相关的展品,构建美国华人的集体记忆,最后通过与美国华人群体的持续性对话、与时俱进的博物馆活动加强集体记忆,形成美国华人集体的凝聚力。Collective memory is the collection of the meaning,value and experience of a group,and it is also the basis of collective identity.As a typical memory place,museums have the mission of storing the historical memory being displayed,awakening the memory,constructing the collective memory and finally enhancing the collective identity.The Museum of Chinese in America was established in 1980 to build the collective memory of Chinese Americans by uniting the Chinese community and preserving its historical motivation and purpose,carefully selecting and interpreting exhibits that have traces of Chinese life or are related to major Chinese historical events,and finally strengthening the collective memory through continuous dialogue with Chinese Americans and advancing with the times museum activities,to form the cohesive force of the Chinese American collective.
