摘　　要：The 9th Conference of CELAO'was held in Shanghai University on 5 August 2023.CELAO conference is one the most influential events on Latin American studies in the recent years in China and Asia,bringing together more than 150 scholars from Asia,Latin America,and the Caribbean to communicate and exchange ideas on key theoretical and practical issues.The 9th Conference of CELAO was hosted by the Latin American Studies Council of Asia and Oceania(CELAO),Shanghai University's Faculty of History at the College of Liberal Arts,School of Foreign Languages,and Institute of Global Studies.It was organized by Center for Latin American Studies of Shanghai University,and 17 co-organizers across China including academic association and business group from Macao.This is the first CELAO conference held in China.With key theoretical and practical issues well discussed,what is more crucial is the face-to-face communication among scholars from around the world who dedicated themselves to different domains of LatinAmerican Studies.
