摘　　要：文章记录了美国北伊利诺伊大学图书馆过去十年的创新改革历程,从建立学习共享空间、优化环境与设施、指定课本资料预留、实施流通服务项目、学术咨询与信息素养指导等五个公共服务领域,以及数字化项目、运营模式、部门重组、特色馆藏等四个馆藏管理领域,展示了如何将一所功能逐渐弱化的大学图书馆营造成充满活力的共享学习空间。Over the past decade,NIUL has transformed from a university library with gradually diminishing functions into a vibrant learning commons.The article discusses five key areas in public services:creating learning commons,optimizing the library environment and facilities,promoting course reserves and open access services,enhancing circulation and reference services,and advancing information literacy.Additionally,it covers four key areas in collection management:digital projects,operational models,departmental reorganization,and developing distinctive collections.
