摘　　要：一概况鸡叫城遗址位于湖南省西北部,洞庭湖区澧阳平原东部,现属常德市澧县岑南镇鸡叫城村。遗址中心点地理坐标为北纬29°43′54.30",东经111°46′53.65",海拔37米。遗址坐落于鸡叫城村高出地面2~4米的岗地上,北距澧水支流岑水约2公里,南距澧县县城10公里,西南距城头山遗址13公里(图一)。The Jijiaocheng Site is located in Jijiaocheng Village of Cennan Town,Li County,Changde City,Hunan Province.From 2019 to 2021,the Hunan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology,the School of Archaeology and Museology of Sichuan University and others jointly excavated the site.In the southern area,archaeologists unearthed the remains of trenches,house foundations,ash pits,urn coffins,kilns,and artifacts such as pottery,stone tools,and woodware.Based on features of pottery and stratigraphic relationship,it can be known that the Jijiaocheng Site functioned as a settlement with trenches from the Youziling Culture period;during the period of Qujialing to Xiaojiawuji cultures,the central area of the Jijiaocheng Site was used as a residential area,where overlapped house foundations were discovered;when it came to the late stage of the Xiaojiawuji Culture,the central area was turned to be used for urn burials and then abandoned.The excavation provides critical materials for investigating the settlement pattern and evolution of social complexity in the southwest of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.
