摘 要:七七事变后,“太平洋国际学会”美国远东问题专家反对日本侵略,尝试通过学术研究思考美国在远东冲突中的角色。他们全面阐释了美国在华利益的内涵,呼吁美国摆脱孤立主义影响,对华援助和对日经济制裁。基于对中国抗战的观察,他们发现中国具有支持抗战胜利的能力,对中国抱有极大信心。他们主张将中国独立自主与美国在远东的未来绑定在一起,将中国看作是维护远东和平的重要力量。太平洋战争爆发前,美国舆论中“亲华”因素的出现和中美准盟友关系的形成,离不开美国学界的推动。After the July 7th Incident,the American Far East issue experts from the Institute of Pacific Relations opposed Japanese aggression.They attempted to review the role of the United States in the Far East conflict through academic research.They comprehensively elaborated on the connotation of U.S.interests in China and called on the U.S.government to break free from the influence of isolationism,assist China,and employ economic sanctions against Japan.Observing China's resistance against Japan,they found that China was capable of winning the ultimate victory,and they had great confidence in China's resistance.They linked China's independence and autonomy with the future of the United States in the Far East,supported China's equal status,and viewed China as an important force in maintaining peace in the Far East.Before the outbreak of the Pacific War,the emergence of"pro-China"factors in American public opinion and the formation of the quasi-alliance relationship between China and the United States were inseparable from the promotion of the American academic community.
