摘　　要：对中华人民共和国成立后围绕着"建筑是否是艺术"的论争进行了梳理和评述.不同论者或认为建筑本为造型艺术的一种,或认为艺术/美术仅为建筑设计的手段或考察建筑设计的标准,实质牵涉建筑是形式、思想还是语言的未定之题.最终中国建筑学里的"艺术"从全然受制于历史、社会的走向,发展为自为的创作论,这一意义深远的转变带来了今日内涵完全不同的"建筑艺术".The paper reviews the Chinese debate on the position of"whether architecture is art"since 1949.Some believe that architecture is a kind of sculptural art,while others insist art simply decorates architecture design or offers criteria to gauge architecture.The dispute reveals the conceptual discrepancy in Chinese architecture regarding its unspecified nature:form-making,ideology or social communication.From the passive mirror images of historical and social trends,to a self-containing tenet for architectural creation,this profound turn has led to today's Chinese architectural art with profoundly different meanings.
