Gut microbiota(GM)plays a key role in regulating various physiological and pathological processes related to human health.Recent studies have found that GM can affect osteoporosis(OP)by regulating the host metabolic level, endocrine and immune systems.Among them,GM and its metabolites play an important role in regulating bone metabolism by influencing immune cell development and differentiation or mediating immune process-related signaling pathways. This article summarized the ways GM acting in the process of OP by influencing the host immune system,in order to provide new ideas for the prevention or treatment of OP in the future.
