摘  要:清末留日学生在近代中国的社会变革中发挥了重要作用,留日期间他们以同乡会为阵地团结互助、宣传新知、倡导爱国。八旗子弟群体在留日学生中比较有代表性与特殊性,该文以1907年刊出的《八旗同乡会章程》为研究中心,通过对留日学生中八旗子弟的人员构成、旗籍、学习科目、组织章程等方面的分析,探讨该群体的结构特点与显著活动特色。留日八旗子弟的活动既有维新意识,又难免守旧之举,这是晚清政府“中体西用”理念的互驳演绎,亦是近代中国社会近代化过程艰难实践的写照。The students studying in Japan during the late Qing Dynasty played a significant role in the so-cial transformation of modern China.Through townsmen associations,they worked in unity,helped each other,disseminated new ideas,and promoted patriotism while in Japan.Among these students,the sons of eight banners were particularly representative and distinctive.This paper centers on Charter of Eight Ban-ners Townsmen Associations which published in 1907,and explores the characteristics of the structure and prominent activities of the Qing Dynasty sons of eight banners who studied in Japan through the analysis of their composition,the register of Manchu banner,subjects of study and organizational regulations.The activities of the sons of eight banners studying in Japan reflected both a reformist ethos and residual conser-vative tendencies,exemplifying the mutual refutation and deduction of Qing government's approach of"Chinese learning for the fundamental principles and Western learning for practical application".Their ac-tivities also illustrated the arduous journey of modernization in modern China.
