摘　　要：海福特牛具有早熟、耐粗饲、产肉率高、抗逆性能好等优点,目前在我国已经形成了一定规模的群体。加强对海福特牛品种特性和种用价值的深入了解,有助于丰富该品种的利用途径。该文详细介绍了海福特牛的培育历程与分布现状,系统阐述了生产性能、生物学特性和遗传资源挖掘进展,并针对我国肉牛产业现状,提出了海福特牛与常见肉牛品种和本地品种的杂交利用和品种改良的建议,旨在为提高海福特牛综合利用效率提供参考。Hereford cattle have excellent characteristics such as early maturity,acceptance to rough feeding,and high meat production rate.At present,a certain scale of Hereford cattle has been formed in China.Strengthening the in-depth understanding of the characteristics and breeding value of Hereford cattle will help improve the utilization of this breed.This article introduces in detail the breeding history and distribution status of Hereford cattle,systematically expounds the progress of production performance,biological characteristics and genetic resource exploration,and puts forward suggestions on hybridization based on the current status of our country,aiming to provide a reference for improving the comprehensive utilization efficiency of Hereford cattle.
