摘　　要：Dear Editor,Emerging infectious diseases(EIDs)severely challenge global public health and the social economy.Since entering the 21st century,our world has witnessed such frequent outbreaks of EIDs as SARS,MERS,influenza,COVID-19.Particularly,the COVID-19,caused by SARS-CoV-2,has resulted in over 775,000,000 infections worldwide and at least 7,000,000 deaths thus far(https://www.who.int/),triggering a severe global economic crisis.Nonetheless,EIDs not only have catastrophic consequences for human society but also pose dreadful threats to wildlife.For instance,the outbreak of contagious caprine pleuropneumonia hit the Tibetan antelopes in 2012,resulting in about 16%population shrinkage(Yu et al.,2013),and the cross-host transmission of canine distemper to giant pandas and Amur tigers poses a substantial obstacle to their population recovery(Jin et al.,2017;Wang et al.,2023).Therefore,the prevention and control of EIDs are serious concerns in wildlife conservation and the construction of ecological civilization.
