Stress urinary incontinence is a common disease among women, which is currently treated as a pathogenesis of kidney deficiency, bladder qi dysfunction, and uncontrolled urine flow. However, the distribution and metabolism of fluids depend on the normal function of the lungs, spleen, and kidneys, and also cannot be separated from the pivot role of the liver in regulating the qi.The liver meridian surrounds the genital area, and the smooth flow of qi in the liver helps the kidneys to open and close properly, allowing the excretion of fluids in moderation.Based on this, authors follow the theory that‘liver mains Zong Jin,binds the organs, and facilitates urination’and combines it with clinical practice to find that pressure urinary incontinence can be treated from the perspective of the liver by focusing on regulating liver qi and nourishing liver blood, thus making the uterus and bladder strong and able to open and close properly, which ultimately leads to the improvement of‘leakage’symptoms and good clinical effects.
