摘 要:Climate change is one of the biggest issues facing humanity.Governments, private sectors, nongovernmental organizations, and individuals are working daily to find solutions to counter andmitigate its influence. An underdiscussed issue is the effect that climate has on health, and the impact that environmental and atmospheric change can have on communities, medical care access, and ecology. Here,AlanDangour from theWellcomeTrustmediates a discussion between George Fu Gao,hLife Editor-in-Chief,and the former Director-General of Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention,Desta Lakewfrom African Medical and Research Foundation, and Alaa Murabit from the Gates Foundation,on this area of health and climate. They discuss how a changing climate can affect health, thework that has already been done to address these problems, and the innovations and steps that need to be made to fully tackle climate-related health issues, with a consensus that health should be at the center of all considerations.
