摘　　要：郑大平(1879—1935)是马来亚霹雳华人甲必丹郑景贵(1821—1901)的儿子,其自身是霹雳最后一任华人甲必丹,同时也是英国在马来半岛委任的最后一位甲必丹。跟父亲一样,他在霹雳从事锡矿开采,是20世纪初期霹雳的华人矿家。此外,他也积极参与霹雳的政治与华人社会的活动,尤其深受英国当局所重视,社会地位举足轻重。文章一方面梳理他的生平事迹,虽说子承父业,却与父辈走着不同模式的领袖之路;另一方面针对史料所记载之郑大平在霹雳的社会参与和政治活动加以整理与论述,以见他对20世纪初期马来亚华人社会的影响。Chung Thye Phin(1879—1935)was the son of Chung Keng Kuee(1821—1901),the Chinese Kapitan of Perak,Malaya.Chung Thye Phin himself became the last Chinese Kapitan of Perak and was also the final Kapitan appointed by the British on the Malay Peninsula.Like his father,he was involved in tin mining in Perak and was a prominent Chinese miner in the early 20th century.Additionally,he was actively engaged in Perak's political scene and Chinese community activities,earning significant respect and recognition from the British authorities,which solidified his influential social status.This article traces his life and achievements,showing how he inherited his father's role but forged a leadership path distinct from that of his predecessor.Furthermore,it organizes and discusses the historical records of Chung Thye Phin's social and political involvement in Perak,highlighting his impact on the Chinese community in Malaya in the early 20th century.
