摘　　要：美国非裔学者威廉·杜波依斯认为美国黑人生来就有“双重意识”,这一关于美国黑人自我身份理解的论断得到学界的普遍认可。《杜波依斯的文学“双重意识”研究》聚焦杜波依斯提出的“双重意识”与其对艺术和宣传之关系的理解,梳理杜波依斯的虚构与非虚构创作,阐释他对美国黑人艺术的理解和其创作实践,以及在这个过程中他的自我坚持、先锋探索和自省修正。该书对有志于研究美国非裔文学的学者来说具有重要的参考价值。William E.B.Du Bois,an African American scholar,argued that African Americans are born with“double consciousness”.This conclusion about the self-identity of African Americans has been widely recognized by the academic community.On W.E.B.Du Bois’s Literary“Double Consciousness”focuses on Du Bois’s“double consciousness”and his perception of the relationship between art and propaganda,analyzes Du Bois’s fictional and nonfictional works,and interprets his insights about African American art and his own practice in artistic creation,as well as his steadfastness,innovative endeavors,and reflective revisions throughout his career.This comprehensive study is an indispensable resource for scholars engaged in African American literature studies.
