从契丹小字中的“永”到“永记斯文”

摘　　要：表示“永”“长”“久”的契丹小字■,与中期蒙古语文献中表示“久”“久远”的“额兀舌里”为同源词。依据语音对应关系拟音为eur,以■为词根的形动词■,可解释为“使之永久”或“使之永久的”之意。Based on the research of Khitan verbs,this paper examines the■and its derivative words in Khitan small script.It is proposed that■signifies“eternal”“lengthy”or“permanent”and is cognate with“額兀舌里”(e'Uri)in Middle Mongolian,which also conveys the meanings of“long”and“lasting”Ac-cording to phonetic correspondences,the pronunciation is reconstructed as*eur.The adjectival verb■with■as its root,can be interpreted as“to make it eternal”or“to eternalize”.
