摘　　要：美国藏学是历史发展和国际形势的产物。20世纪80年代,哥伦比亚大学东亚语言和文化系开设藏学课程,是美国藏学“西衰东盛”的主要表现之一。哥伦比亚大学的藏学研究聚焦于现代西藏研究,相关研究人员在西方高校中相对充沛,一定程度上促进了领域内的合作,并积极推动与中国藏学研究者的交流合作。文章梳理了哥伦比亚大学二十余年的藏学研究动态,指出我国藏学研究与西方世界的交流与合作前景。Tibetan studies in the United States is a product of historical development and the international situation.In the 1980s,the Department of East Asian Languages and Culture at Columbia University offered courses in Tibetan studies,which was one of the main manifestations of the decline of Tibetan studies in the west and the rise of Tibetan studies in the east in the United States.The Tibetan studies of Columbia University focus on modern Tibetan studies.Relevant researchers are relatively abundant in Western universities,which has promoted cooperation in the field to a certain extent,and actively promoted exchanges and cooperation with Tibetan researchers in China.By reviewing the developments of Tibetan studies in Columbia University over the last 20 years,this paper points out the prospects of exchanges and cooperation between Tibetan studies in China and the Western world.
