摘　　要：荷兰史学理论及史学史家赫尔曼·保罗教授应邀参加访谈,分享了他的个人治学经验。师承当代著名史学理论家安克斯密特的保罗教授将“美德语言”引入史学理论及史学史研究领域,提出了“学者角色”的概念,引发了学者们的关注。此次访谈探寻了保罗教授个人的治学经历,他提出的“史学史与历史哲学”宣言的具体内涵,他正在进行的美德和恶习话语历史的研究项目,他对当代史学理论发展趋势的洞见以及他给中国学者从事西方史学理论及史学史研究的些许建议。这一番对话呈现了保罗教授的学术研究及其观点,洞察了当代西方史学理论研究的前沿动态。This article presents an interview with Dutch professor Herman Paul,a prominent contemporary philosopher of history and historian of historiography.Having studied under the esteemed Dutch philosopher of history,Frank Ankersmit,Professor Paul has contributed significantly to the field by incorporating the virtue language into historical theory and history of historiography,notably introducing the concept of"Scholarly Personae"to illuminate the complexities of historical practices.The interview traces how Herman Paul immersed himself into the field of historical theory,explores the connotation of his advocacy for"the history of historiography and the philosophy of history",discusses his current project on the history of virtues and vices,exhibits his perspectives on the trend of present historical theory,and offers his suggestions for Chinese scholars interested in Western historical theory and history of historiography.Through this dialogue,the article offers valuable insights into Professor Paul's scholarly contributions and provides a glimpse into the forefront of contemporary research in historical theory.
