从时间到让步和建议:“姑且”的功能扩展及虚化历程

摘　　要：时间副词“姑且”表示暂时地;也可用于复句中充当让步标记,表达让步情态义,具有篇章衔接功能;还可用于祈使句中充当建议标记,表达主观意愿或建议,具有标记“建议”言语行为的话语功能。这三种用法是历史上并列短语“姑且”词汇化和语法化的产物,副词“姑且”由同义并列短语“姑+且”词汇化而来,在此基础上分别语法化为让步标记和建议标记。演变的动因主要有情态增强导致主观化、语境吸收导致关联化、视点转换导致元语化。The time adverb"guqie(姑且)"can also be used as a concession marker in complex sentences to express the modal meaning of concession,which has the function of textual cohesion.It can also be used as a suggestion marker in imperative sentences to express the speaker's subjective will or suggestion,which has the discourse function of marking the speech act of suggestion.These three usages are the products of the lexicalization and grammaticalization of the historical coordinate phrase"guqie(姑且)".The adverb"guqie(姑且)"is lexicalized from the synonymous coordinate phrase"gu(姑)+qie(且)".On this basis,it is grammaticalized into a concession mark and a suggestion mark respectively.The main motivations of the evolution are the enhancement of modality leading to subjectification,context absorption leading to relevance,and viewpoint transformation leading to metalinguistics.
