摘　　要：In one of Tennessee Williams’s most well-known dramas,The Glass Menagerie,he portrays us with a sad family.From the existentialist point of view,this paper interprets the survival dilemma and free choice faced by the four Wingfield families in the play.While inspiring people to think and explore their own life meaning and survival choice,it also tries to reveal Tennessee Williams’humanistic concern for the helpless and depressed living state of people in modern society.
