“无聊公牍”中的校长情怀——蔡元培任北大校长期间的公文解读

摘　　要：蔡元培任职北大校长期间签发或办理的公文是展示其教育理念和办学思路的档案载体,同时也是一些重要历史事件的文档记录,侧面反映出以北京大学为代表的中国现代教育发展的艰辛历程。蔡元培不喜繁文缛节的公文工作,却仍然认真对待这些无聊的公牍,充分利用公文令行禁止的严肃性特点,促使治理北大校务、改进校风学风的工作更加规范高效。在蔡元培公文写作和处理的烦琐事务中,渗透着对师生员工的情谊、对学校发展的期许以及对教育事业的热忱。The official documents issued or processed by Cai Yuanpei during his tenure as the president of Peking University are archival carriers to display his educational philosophy. They are also document records of some important historical events, reflecting the arduous process of modern education development in China, which represented by Peking University. Cai Yuanpei disliked the tedious official document work, but still took these boring official documents seriously. He took advantage of the seriousness of the prohibition of official documents to promote the governance of Peking University affairs and to improve the school culture and academic atmosphere to be more standardized and efficient. In the tedious affairs of Cai Yuanpei's official document writing and handling, there is a sense of feelings towards teachers, students, and employees, expectations for the development of the school, and enthusiasm for the education cause.
