摘　　要：We are pleased to present the special issue of“Electrochemical sensing and imaging”in Advanced Sensor and Energy Materials for 2023.One comprehensive review and four research articles have been invited deeply addressing the cutting-edge topics of electrochemistry at heterogeneous electrode interfaces by microscopic techniques with high spatiotemporal resolution.
