工业文明与现代文明:从同义词到物质基础

摘　　要：文明具有两种不同的界定方式,与时间演化相联系的文明具有普遍性,与空间地域相联系的文明具有特殊性。中华民族现代文明这一概念是一个空间与时间的集合体,意味着古老的中华文明进行升级。率先爆发工业革命的西方文明率先进入现代文明,这使得工业文明一词曾经长期是现代文明的同义词,因为工业文明构成了现代文明区别于传统文明的物质基础。中华民族以一种崇尚生产劳动而贬抑投机与浪费的实业文明为其古老文明的经济基础,在数千年未有之大变局的压力下,这一实业文明依靠工业化进行升级,成为中华文明向现代文明演化的重要动力。建设中华民族现代文明仍需要坚实的物质基础,但也需要走中国式现代化道路对旧式工业文明进行革新。There are two different ways to define civilization.The civilization related to time evolution is universal,while the civilization related to space and region is special.The concept of the modern civilization of the Chinese nation is a combination of space and time,which means that the ancient Chinese civilization has been upgraded.The Western civilization that first broke out the industrial revolution took the lead in entering modern civilization,which made the term industrial civilization a synonym for modern civilization for a long time,because industrial civilization constituted the material foundation of modern civilization different from traditional civilization.The Chinese nation relies on a productive civilization that advocates productive labor and devalues speculation and waste as the economic foundation of its ancient civilization.Under the pressure of great changes unseen in thousands of years,this productive civilization relies on industrialization to upgrade and becomes an important driving force for the evolution of Chinese civilization into modern civilization.The construction of the modern civilization of the Chinese nation still needs a solid material foundation,but it also needs to take the Chinese-style modernization road to reform the old industrial civilization.
