摘　　要：基于邓宗后人与友人回忆录等材料,对甘肃末代士绅邓宗从革命到教育的转向进行了详细地梳理与考证。他是甘肃辛亥革命先锋,甘肃革命思想最早的传播者,民主革命的坚定维护者。辛亥革命胜利后,他转入教育界,就任甘肃省教育司第三科科长、教育科科长等职,成为甘肃教育事业的开拓者,首开甘肃女子教育的先河,探索甘肃基础教育,推广西北国语教育,全方位推动了甘肃的教育近代化。Based on materials including memoirs of Deng Zong’s descendants and friends,this paper provides a detailed review and verification of the transition of Deng Zong,the last gentry of Gansu,from revolution to education.He was a pioneer of the 1911 Xinhai Revolution in Gansu,the earliest disseminator of revolutionary ideas in Gansu,and a staunch defender of the democratic revolution.After the success of the Xinhai Revolution,he transitioned into the field of education,serving as the head of the third section of the Gansu Provincial Education Department and the head of the Education Section,becoming a pioneer in Gansu’s educational endeavors.Moreover,he was the first to initiate female education in Gansu,explored basic education in the region,and promoted the national language education in Northwest China,which comprehensively advanced the modernization of education in Gansu.
