摘 要:汉章帝于元和元年(84年)十二月所下的《蠲除禁锢诏》是章帝改变东汉初年“严切”治理手段的重要举措,也是展现章帝宽厚帝王形象的经典文献。该诏引用《尚书》中“罪不相及”的典故系首次在帝王诏书中出现,但其并非《尚书》原意,而是战国时经过了内涵转换的产物,此意在后世广为流传,并逐渐进入常识语言系统。该诏将蠲除禁锢落脚在“弃咎之路”上,“弃咎”一词也典出《尚书》,展现了章帝对处理当时复杂政治局势的考择和对理想社会的期许。该诏是窥探汉章帝君主形象、明章之际政治风格转型和儒学树立正统地位后对社会影响情况的良好孔道。The Imperial Edict on Abolishing the Restrictions on Official Appointment(The Imperial Edict)was issued by Emperor Zhang in December of the first year of Yuanhe.It was an important measure of Emperor Zhang to change the strict politics of the early Eastern Han Dynasty,and also a classic document showing Emperor Zhang’s lenient image.The Shangshu allusion to“punishment does not implicate others”cited in the Imperial Edict is the first to appear in imperial edicts,but it is not the original meaning of Shangshu,which was formed by semantic conversion during the Warring States period.This meaning spread widely in later generations and gradually entered the common sense language system.The Imperial Edict identified the expression of“Qi Jiu”as the goal of removing restrictions.“Qi Jiu”is also the allusion from Shangshu,reflecting Emperor Zhang’s choices in dealing with the complex political situation at that time and his expectations for an ideal society.This imperial edict is a good way to explore the image of Emperor Zhang of Han Dynasty,the transformation of political style during the period of Emperor Ming and Emperor Zhang,and the mechanism of influence on society after the establishment of the orthodox status of Confucianism.
