摘　　要：1958年11月12日至19日在日本东京举办的第7届国际麻风大会是首次在亚洲举办的全球性麻风学术会议,由日本麻风基金会和日本麻风协会举办,41个国家和地区181名代表参加了会议。会议交流论文120篇,分为细菌学和组织病理学、治疗、分型、流行病学和控制、免疫学、社会问题6个专题。会议取得了废除强制麻风隔离政策、推广门诊治疗的共识。会议呼吁重视麻风畸残预防及康复工作,开辟了麻风防治新的领域。这次学术交流为其后全球麻风科学的迅猛发展奠定了基础,改变了全球麻风防治发展风貌,并提供了学术团体举办学术会议的难得经验与教训,在麻风学术交流历史上具有重要地位和深远影响。The 7th International Leprosy Congress held in Tokyo,Japan from November 12-19,1958,was the first global leprosy academic conference to be held in Asia.After the Indian government withdrew its bid to host the event,it was taken over by the Japan Leprosy Foundation and the Japan Leprosy Association.Representatives from 41 countries and regions,totaling 181 delegates,attended the conference.A total of 120 papers were exchanged.The discussions were divided into six topics:bacteriology and histopathology,treatment,classification,epidemiology and control,immunology,and social issues.The conference shared progress in leprosy bacteriology,histopathology,and immunology,and reached a consensus on abolishing compulsory leprosy isolation policies and initiating outpatient treatment.The meeting called for increased attention to the prevention and rehabilitation of leprosy-related disabilities,opening up new areas in leprosy prevention and treatment.This academic exchange laid the foundation for the rapid development of global leprosy science that followed,changing the trajectory of global leprosy prevention and treatment,and providing valuable experience and lessons for academic societies in hosting academic conferences.It holds an important place and has a profound impact in the history of leprosy academic exchanges.
