摘　　要：族群是研究美国人口与社会问题的重要要素,也是认识美国国情选情的关键。介绍了20世纪下半叶以来美国原住民、白人、非裔、拉美裔、亚裔等族群概况,论述族群关系历史演进带来的当代多样性/多元化思潮与实践,并考察各大族群所面临的特殊问题,以及少数族群平权/优待政策的成就与争议。这些对我们认识美国的人口与社会特征具有重要的启发意义。Racial/ethnic issues are the first element in the study of American population and society,and they are also a key for Chinese people to understand the external world,especially the national/electoral conditions of the United States.This article reviews the profiles of Native Americans,Whites,African Americans,Hispanics,and Asians as racial and ethnic groups in the United States since the second half of the 20th century.Diversity/pluralism trends and contemporary practices resulting from the historical evolution of race relations models are discussed.Special problems faced by major ethnic groups,as well as the achievements and controversies of equal rights/affirmative action(DEI/AA)policies for the minorities are investigated.These are of great significance to understanding the characteristics of the American population and society.
