美国华裔作家小说中的“中国元素”话语体系建构

摘　　要：美国华裔作家生活在中美两种文化的夹缝中,双重文化背景给了他们一般作家难以企及的写作资源和极大的跨文化书写自由。丰富的中国元素是美国华裔作家小说的一个显著特征。美国华裔作家通过借用、戏仿、拼贴等写作手法,在对中国元素改写的基础上,将其与美国文化进行融合,并以独特的形式展示给全世界的读者。基于福柯的话语权力观,论文分析了美国华裔作家小说中的“中国元素”书写,认为其既消解了西方对中国文化的刻板印象,同时也有助于华裔族群话语、政治话语、性别话语、文化话语等话语体系建构。Chinese American writers live in the margin between Chinese and American cultures.The dual cultural background gives them the writing resources that are impossible for other writers to attain,and the infinite freedom of cross-cultural writing.One of the distinctive features of Chinese American novels is that they are rich in Chinese elements.Through borrowing,parody,collage and other writing techniques to rewrite Chinese elements,Chinese American writers integrate those rewritten Chinese elements with American culture,and present them to readers all over the world in a unique form.Based on Foucault’s discourse power theory,this paper explores how the writing of“Chinese elements”in Chinese American novels not only deconstructs the western stereotype on Chinese culture,but also contributes to the construction of Chinese American ethnic discourse,political discourse,gender discourse and cultural discourse.
