摘　　要：To celebrate Xinjiang University’s 100th anniversary,a special issue will be launched by the faculty and alumni of Xinjiang University.It will highlight the university’s profound contributions to the field of fiber science,showcasing its advancements in various domains such as advanced functional fibers,smart textiles,and sustainable fiber materials.Over the past century,Xinjiang University has become one of the leading institutions in textile science and engineering,playing a pivotal role in the development of innovative fiber technologies that address global challenges.The university’s commitment to excellence and its legacy of research and education will be reflected in this special issue,which will celebrate both the historical achievements and future aspirations of its textile science and engineering disciplines.As we commemorate this centennial milestone,we look forward to continued innovation in the field of fiber science.
