摘 要:为了更好地揭示植物对环境的响应机制,以云南哀牢山中山湿性常绿阔叶林的优势种南洋木荷为研究对象,通过测量其不同树冠高度的叶片经济性状和水力性状,探讨个体尺度上不同树冠高度植物叶功能性状的垂直变异。结果显示:(1)沿树冠高度,南洋木荷叶片经济和水力性状表现出显著的垂直变异。在叶片经济性状中,除比叶重差异不明显外,叶面积呈现下降趋势,叶片厚度、叶干物质量和净光合速率呈上升趋势。在水力性状中,气孔导度和正午叶片水势呈现下降趋势,而叶片内部水分利用效率呈现上升趋势。(2)南洋木荷叶片经济和水力性状之间也存在一定的相关关系。比叶重与叶厚和叶干物质量、叶厚与叶干物质量均呈显著正相关关系,叶厚与叶面积呈显著负相关关系。正午叶片水势和叶片内部水分利用效率呈正相关关系。可得结论:南洋木荷的叶功能性状在个体尺度上存在环境可塑性,叶片通过调整形态结构来协调光合生理性状与水力性状。研究结果有助于理解亚热带常绿阔叶林中物种分布格局的形成和物种多样性维持的重要机制。Leaf economics and hydraulic traits enable understanding and predicting the impact of global climate change on species growth and forest ecosystem processes,while these traits are usually assessed as means values in most studies.In this study,we tested variations and relationships of leaf economics and hydraulic traits for Schima noronhae,a dominant tree species in Chinese evergreen forest,along a vertical canopy gradient.The economics traits measured included leaf area,leaf mass per area,leaf thickness,leaf dry matter mass,net photosynthetic rate,stomatal conductance,and leaf hydraulic traits,including midday leaf water potential and internal leaf water use efficiency.The results showed that most leaf functional traits of individual-level S.noronhae varied significantly at different canopy heights.Leaf area and stomatal conductance at the lower canopy were 2.19 and 1.19 times higher than those at the upper canopy,while the leaf thickness,leaf dry matter content and net photosynthetic rate in the upper canopy increased 1.15-,1.09-,and 1.14-fold than those in the low canopy,respectively.Among the hydraulic traits,midday leaf water potential showed a decreasing trend in opposing trend for the internal leaf water use efficiency.Meanwhile,some leaf functional traits exhibited some correlation.Leaf mass per area was significantly and positively correlated with leaf thickness and leaf dry matter mass;Leaf thickness and leaf dry matter mass,and leaf thickness was significantly and negatively correlated with leaf area.Middle leaf water potential and internal leaf water use efficiency were positively correlated.In addition,there was also a coordination between leaf economics and hydraulic traits,suggesting that leaves coordinate photosynthetic and hydraulic traits by adjusting their morphological and structural traits,thereby adapting to changes in the micro habitat of different canopy heights at the individual level.
