《关雎》“窈窕”考——兼谈“窈窕”的词义流变

摘　　要：历代学者对于《关雎》“窈窕”的阐释各不相同。从字形角度看,“窈窕”从穴部,本义为“洞穴幽深”,后随着历史的变迁才衍生出其他含义。从方言角度看,该词源于楚语,楚人善舞,其描绘的正是婀娜摇曳、轻盈舒展、柔软妩媚的舞姿之美。陈国的歌舞之风与楚国相类,《陈风·月出》中“窈纠”“懮受”“夭绍”及其近义词亦与“窈窕”同,皆含婀娜之义。另外,安大简的“要翟”与“窈窕”为同义词,从字形看亦属舞姿之美。Scholars of all dynasties have different interpretation of“Yao Tiao”in Guan Ju.From the point of view of character form,“Yao Tiao”is related with caves and its original meaning is“deep cave”,and other meanings are derived along with the historical changes.From the perspective of dialect,this word comes from Chu language,and the Chu people are good at dancing,which describes the dynamic beauty of graceful swaying,light and stretch,soft and charming.The trend of singing and dancing of Chen Kingdom is similar to that of Chu Kingdom.In Moonrise,“Yao Jiao”,“You Shou”,“Yao Shao”and their synonyms also have the same meaning as“Yao Tiao”,all contain the meaning of“graceful swaying”.In addition,the word“Yao Di”in Anhui University Bamboo Strips is a synonym of“Yao Tiao”,showing the beauty of dancing from the angle of the character form.
