摘　　要：中国形象在异域文化源远流长的历史长河中不断发展变化,明暗优劣并存。中国形象在文化“他者”中呈现出看似矛盾并非偶然的生命力:既有乌托邦式镜像中国与意识形态式负面中国。揭示了西方的中国形象在特定的历史中所表现出的某种稳定的、共同的特征——形象叙事的思维方式、意象传统、话语构建的内涵与外延的指向性的趋同与延续。又有在异域文化视野中展现出审美现代性向度和理性现代性向度共同续写的形象建构。The image of China has been continuously evolving and changing in the long-standing history of exotic cultures with its both merits and drawbacks.The seemingly contradictory vitality for the image of China is not incidental in the cultural“other”,given that both utopian mirror China and ideological negative China can be seen in the image of China.It can be revealed that the image of China in the western culture shows a certain stable and common characteristic in the particular period of history—the convergence and continuation of the thinking mode of image narration,image tradition,and the connotation and extension of discourse construction.In the viewpoint of exotic culture,the construction of China’s image unfolds the dimensions both in the aesthetic modernity and in rational modernity.
