In practical cognitive radio-based rate splitting multiple access(CR-RSMA)communication networks, there is often an imbalance in the amplitude and phase of the transceivers̓in-phase/quadrature(I/Q)branches.However,existing research on CR-RSMA networks has largely overlooked this fact, leading to an unclear understanding of the impact of I/Q imbalance on CR-RSMA networks.Motivated by this, the authors consider a CR-RSMA network operating under I/Q imbalance conditions. While ensuring the primary user̓s transmission performance, secondary users adaptively split their rates based on interference thresholds and their own gains to achieve permissible transmission rates. Finally, the authors derive closed-form expressions for the outage probability under given amplitude and phase conditions.Simulation results reveal the following findings:I/Q imbalance introduces additional interference, resulting in degraded user outage performance;compared with amplitude mismatch, phase mismatch leads to a higher probability of system interruption.
