摘 要:聚苯乙烯球单层结构阵列在光学领域应用广泛,目前主要是通过向商业聚苯乙烯球的胶体溶液中加入醇溶剂形成组装液、再将组装液滴加至水膜与空气的界面上进行自组装获得,存在成本高、醇溶剂的使用不明确等问题。对此,采用化学法制备了聚苯乙烯微球,探索不同醇溶剂对界面自组装性能的影响。研究发现,乙醇作为醇溶剂,自组装效果最好,能够形成完整的、近乎密排的聚苯乙烯球单层;使用异丙醇的效果类似,但耗时较长;使用纯水或长碳链醇(正丁醇)则几乎不能自组装。分析表明,自组装的关键在于组装液与水膜之间的性质既要存在略微差异,又要能够相互浸润形成对流。因此,组装液中含有密度比水低、挥发性好、与水相容性好的乙醇溶剂最为理想。此外,聚苯乙烯球尺寸的均一性越好,聚苯乙烯球单层的质量就越好。研究结果可为聚苯乙烯球的实验室合成及自组装性能研究提供参考。Polystyrene sphere monolayer arrays are widely used in the field of optics and mainly obtained by adding alcohol solvent into the colloidal solution of commercial polystyrene sphere to form assembly liquid,and then dropping the assembly liquid onto the interface of water film and air for self-assembly.The cost is high and the use of alcohol solvent is not clear.To solve these problems,polystyrene microspheres are prepared by chemical method,and the influence of different alcohol solvents on their interfacial self-assembly properties is explored in this paper.It is found that ethanol is the best solvent for self-assembly,and it can form a complete and nearly close-packed monolayer of polystyrene spheres,isopropanol has the similar effect,but it takes a longer time,and pure water or long carbon chain alcohol(n-butanol)can hardly selfassemble.It can be seen that self-assembly depends on not only the slight difference in the properties between the assembly liquid and the water film,but also their infiltration that can form convection.Therefore,if the assembly liquid contains ethanol,it is the best,because ethanol has a lower density,better volatility and compatibility.In addition,the better the uniformity of the size of the polystyrene spheres,the better the quality of the monolayer of polystyrene spheres.This work can provide a reference for the preparation of polystyrene spheres in laboratory and the study of their self-assembly properties.
